Beef Caldereta

Beef Caldereta is a common dish in the Philippines made with stewing cuts of beef simmered until tender. It is Spanish-influenced dish (the Spanish word 'caldera' means cauldron) that become to be Filipinos' favorite and made their own versions.

Good for 6 to 8 persons

1kg. Beef, cut into Cubes
3tbsp. Minced Garlic
6tbsp. Minced Red Onion
200g. Tomato Sauce
2cans Liver Spred (85g each)
3pcs. Potatoes, cut into half
2pcs. Carrots
1/2 cup Grated Cheese
2pcs. Red and Green Bell Pepper
4-6pcs Bay Leaves
1 Cup Tomato Ketchup
2tbsp. Margarine
1/3 cup Pickles
1/2 cup Greenpeas or Garbanzos

Cooking time: 30 minutes

1. Arrange the beef, onion, garlic, tomato ketchup, water, pickles, carrots, potato, liver spread, margarine, green pease, bay leaves and top with cheese accordingly on the Imarflex Turbo cooker inner pot.
2. Close the cover and slide to the left to lock
3. Plg the Imarflex Turbo Cooker (IPC-600D) into the convenience outlet.
4. Press the STEW/BEEF button, the default time (30 minutes) will appear on the LCD.
5. The icon will start blinking and will automatically heat up.
6. When the timer is done, tilt the pressure regulator valve to release the pressure inside.
7. Slide the cover to the right and pull up to open.
8. Transfer into a bowl and sprinkle with grated cheese.
9. Best to serve with rice.
