Prawn Balls

Prawn balls are bite-sized seafood treats made from finely chopped or minced prawns mixed with seasonings, breadcrumbs, and sometimes vegetables. They are typically deep-fried or steamed, resulting in a tender, flavorful center with a crispy outer layer.

1kg. Ground Pork
1/4kg. Shrimp
1tbsp. Salt
1/8 tsp. Pepper
2pcs. Eggs
2tbsp. Cornstarch, dissolved in 4 tbsp water
3 stalks spring onion (optional)
1 tbsp. Sugar

1. Shell the shrimps, chop and pat dry, add ground pork, season with salt, pepper and sugar.
2. Mix eggs gradually.
3. Add cornstarch mixture. Blend well.
4. Wrap sliced shrimps with the mixture leaving the tail out, then wrap with 'sensal' or aluminum foil and place on top of the turbo rack.
5. Cook for 15 minutes at 350°F / 175°C in the turbo broiler.
6. Let it cool and remove the 'sensal' or aluminum foil.
